About the Round the Lake Challenge
For the Challenge, LGLC has identified 30 Missions throughout the watershed, each showcasing Lake George's unique natural, scenic, historic or cultural resources.
• hiking the trails of Tongue Mountain, Sleeping Beauty, or any of LGLC's parks and preserves;
• canoeing or kayaking Jabe Pond and Northwest Bay;
• exploring Gull Bay's beaver pond and the exhibits at Up Yonda Farm;
• walking the LaChute River Walk Interpretive Trail, and visiting museums and historical roadside markers.
The goal is to complete at least 20 of the 30+ missions and become an official Round the Laker!
Once you sign up you’ll receive a RTL brochure with map and Mission List, membership card good for discounts at participating businesses and stores (see below for a current list), and access to the RTL website member pages. Once you’re logged in you can find additional Mission information, download maps and activity sheets, keep track of your progress, upload pictures and share tips with other RTL’ers!
When you finish, you’ll be assigned a RTL Roster Number, certificate of completion, and a RTL patch. Are you ready to Take the Challenge?
